Ann Arbor’s Venue by 4M celebrates two years of serving community
Restaurant, event space offers place to eat, connect, work and get inspired
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — A unique Ann Arbor restaurant and event space is celebrating its two-year anniversary of serving locals and visitors in the area.
Venue by 4M opened in September 2022 off East Stadium Boulevard and serves as a gathering place for the community with unique and flexible spaces for a variety of activities. It offers highly curated food and drinks, indoor and outdoor event spaces, open coworking space, places for meetings or corporate events, private offices and desks, Venue Coffee and more.
“We are incredibly proud to create spaces that are welcoming for everyone to come together, relax and be part of amazing things happening in our community,” said Margaret Poscher, owner of Venue and founder of 4M, a sustainable development company. “We’re grateful for the community’s support the last couple of years and look forward to serving Ann Arbor for years to come.”
Poscher is passionate about 15-minute neighborhoods, in which daily errands can be easily reached by a short walk, bike ride or public transit. Venue takes this concept even further, providing spaces to eat, drink, work and meet all in one 25,000-square-foot space where connections and creativity are fostered through the many different experiences visitors can have there.
David J. Groom, content creator and executive in the tech and startup industries, is a subscribing member to the coworking space at Venue. Groom typically works from home but finds value in the networking opportunities and events curated by Venue, along with the restaurant and bar, office facilities and diverse community there.
“Venue’s offerings are so compelling that I practically live here at times,” Groom said. “The networking opportunities and events alone easily justify the cost of my membership, and unparalleled resources like the podcasting studio just can’t be found anywhere else.”
Since opening, Venue has expanded its programming to offer weekly live music and a wide variety of other events. The space has been part of important celebrations for many families including bridal and baby showers, graduation celebrations, weddings and more.
Venue also pays homage to Logan, the former restaurant of Venue Executive Chef Thad Gillies, with Logan Pop Up Wine Dinners.
“Venue offers a space to try many different kinds of cuisines in our five different restaurant concepts,” Gillies said. “It’s an incredible dining experience for food lovers of all kinds, and the welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home.”
Upcoming events at Venue include Fridays on the Patio music with Ki5 on Oct. 18, Jazz Brunch with the Heather Black Project on Oct. 20 and Venue Connect, a networking and speaker series, on Oct. 23. Recurring events include lunch specials from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday through Saturday, Wine Down Wednesdays and chef’s specials.
